Are you having active or quiet Sunday at home today? Mine is the second one, with tv shows and comfortable clothes and I decided to make something very delicious and healthy. Of course, I want to share it with you! Also bright orange colour is just a plus to add to this grey day. So here is my orange smoothie!
You will need: two carrots, two apples, glass of water, table spoon of honey and a blender. This will give you two full glasses of delicious smoothie.
Start by peeling the carrots and apples, cut them into cubes and firstly blend carrots with water. Then add the apples, honey and blend again. You are ready to treat yourself with this wonderful brightness in the glass! This smoothie is super easy to make and benefits you with important vitamins and minerals.
Carrots are very good source of vitamin A (beta-carotene) which is important for good vision and immune system, biotin -> important in fat and protein metabolism, vitamins K -> promote bone health, and B vitamins. Apples are good source of fiber and vitamin C. Especially if you use season apples from a near garder or farm (these apples tend to be more sour which is even better). Honey also contains many health benefits, which include fighting bacteria, energising our body and boosting our immune system. Cheers to good health and positive mood! ❤
Much love and positivity,
This post is going to be a bit different since I will share with you a wonderful recipe. If you also like to snack on sweet things, but at the same time you care about your body, you simply have to try this recipe and tell me what you think! 🙂
Basically, these oat bars/cookies are really easy to make with few basic ingredients. You don’t even have to own an oven for this! Basic ingredients you will need:
Oatmeal, coconut oil, (nuts, dried fruits, coconut flakes, sesame seeds if preferred), honey.
Also you will need a frying pan and a narrow tray like this one I used:
Start by warming the pan with some coconut oil. I usually use one spoon of it. Then add 2-3 glasses of oatmeal and fry them on low heat until they turn yellow. If you like, add nuts and/or various of dried fruits, coconut flakes or sesame seeds. This time I added some dates and coconut.
Then add around 2-3 full spoons of honey. Mix it all up. The honey will melt and glue your oat mix together.
After you have done it, put the mix into your narrow tray and press the top, so it gets compact.
Put your finished masterpiece into the fridge and keep it there for a couple of hours. Voila, cut it in bars or smaller pieces and eat it with peace of mind!
With this post, I am opening a new blog category called DIY (do it yourself) Vibes! 🙂 I hope you will try this recipe and will enjoy it as much as I do!
Much love and positivity,
