Sunday Exploration

Wonderful readers,

Here we are again, yet another beautiful Sunday. Time does fly! Last Sunday, I wrote a post about my healthy orange smoothie and how I spent a lazy day indoors with tv shows and things like that. This Sunday I decided to do something different.

Today was beautiful weather, with blue sky, sun and 13 plus degrees celsius. Therefore, I decided to take a long walk to the places I have never been before. With other words – explore the city!

Exploration OOTD.

I have to tell you, it was so much fun. I discovered some pretty amazing places, where I could see part of panorama view of the city, also some smaller streets with old houses and really loud and beautiful waterfall. Also instead of smoothie I drank a bit too much delicious latte at my brothers place. No regrets!

I definitely recommend to explore the unknown streets, because it is the best way to find beautiful spots and places that should be visited by You! So let`s go!

Falling Leaves + OOTD

Wonderful readers,

How is your Saturday? Yesterday, I was walking a lot in the city, through the stores and little streets. Such a wonderful time it is, when leaves are beautifully coloured, but still mostly on the trees. The weather is still pleasant and you can enjoy the day light until around 7pm.

FullSizeRender 39

But there was one street, where the whole pathway was completely covered in leaves. You know the sound leaves make when you walk on them without lifting your feet that much? YES, the sound! That wonderful sound, real comfort for my ears. That moment, I realised how deeply I enjoy looking and walking on autumn leaves.

Today, we celebrated my dads birthday and I decided to wear one of my favourite autumn dresses. It is very loose and girly, super comfortable and playful.

I wore it in two different ways. The first one for the day time, with black belt, black tights, light beige trenchcoat and bordeaux boots. The second one is darker, where the difference is brown leather jacket and black over the knee boots.

Summer Vibes – Blue Dress

Wonderful readers,

Recently, I saw a lot of pictures of people travelling to warm countries, enjoying the sun, warm weather, slow walks, cold drinks, sandy beaches and light clothes. There is quite different view outside of my window I have to say, but still very beautiful. At first, I caught myself being a bit jealous of those pictures, but then I looked through the photos from my summer trip. And I realised, there is nothing to be jealous about. Things happen by their pace, how they suppose to happen. And I feel very content where I am now! Let`s be happy for others and embrace our beautiful moments! 🙂

So while looking through my summer memories, I decided to share with You some photos of my blue dress, that accidentally caught my eyes in one of the stores while on vacation this summer! It became my top summer outfit! What was your top outfit of this summer?

“Life is everything, except of perfection.”

I paired this blue dress with little heart choker necklace, big white watch, black chunky heel sandals and black little purse with chain strap. I also wore beautiful Quay sunglasses.

City Life Vibes

Many sounds, sirens and talks,

Varieties, choices and pace you have to keep.

Open your window in the morning and feel the flow,

Transport passing by and people rushing to places,

It can get crowded, but possible to walk slowly.

Those who do, carry a coffee cup or a gym bag,

Routines in place.

Take the tram, the longest route,

To feel the flow,

Of life going somewhere.

People with ambitions, dreams and wishes,

People who laugh, cry, love, eat and pray.

Variety of people, styles and vibes.

Stores, restaurants, cafes, parks, museums

And everything else, all in one place.

I love it and wouldn’t change a thing!

Big City Life, the place to be at!

Stop for awhile

The view that makes you stop for awhile,

Dream, hope and smile over.

Beautiful combination, eye relaxation,

Horizon and front, perfectly done.

Quality of the view gives you energy to create,

Beautiful things that make you unique.

Always stop for the views you like,

Even 10 seconds can give you sparkly kite,

Into your deepest wishes and dreams.

You say, you are busy, you have to run,

However, right now,

You can be here for a little while.

Therefore I captured you the view.

Stop for awhile.

Game of Thrones Travel Destinations

Wonderful readers,

Do we have any Game of Thrones fans here? I bet we have! As the season finale has passed our windows, I thought it would be awesome to look at some beautiful real life destinations all fans should visit. And not only fans, as these locations are very beautiful, even without seeing them in sentimental filming location spotlight.

I am actually not a big Game of Thrones fan, but I find it very fascinating and beautifully made both story and screening wise. Also around two years ago, I wrote an exam about one of the episodes at my University. I had to analyse it deeply and I still remember this experience as one of the most interesting and exciting. This show really has very special and epic vibe.

So let`s get inspired by these beautiful destinations! If you are currently planning your next trip, you should definitely look closer at this!

Split, Croatia

Try to trace the filming locations in Split, Croatia, while taking long walks in those narrow streets.

Dubrovnik, Croatia

It should be easier to trace the locations in Dubrovnik, since many scenes were filmed there. Here you can see King`s Landing, Old Town, Outside the Walls of Old Town and Baroque Stairs.

Northern Ireland

Take a walk in this beautiful path and feel the aura. This place is recognisable as the Kings Road.

Castle Ward was used for various of scenes featuring Stark Family. Castle Ward`s historic farmyard is the location of Winterfell in the series.

Azure Window, Malta

This beautiful Limestone rock formation arch is one of Malta`s most famous on the island of Gozo. It got even more famous after Game of Thrones used it as one of their filming locations. It was featured in season 1, episode 1.

Essaouira, Morocco

Season 3 was filmed in this historical coastal town, located two hours west of Marrakech. Sunny and sandy town of North Africa is definitely worth a visit.

Iceland

Extreme cold and spectacular landscapes were filmed in Iceland throughout all of their seasons. Iceland represents snow covered regions North of the Seven Kingdoms.

Which of these places would you like to visit?

Personally, I would like to explore those streets in Split, Croatia the most. ❤ All of these photos were taken from Google.

Blossom

Value of a single rose should be appreciated.

Whole year roses put their all energy,

To blossom for You,

For a short time, but in all sincerity.

Not only bring some satisfaction to your eyes,

But also fragrances that will make you come back.

Roses in full bloom,

Beautiful and full of life.

They can stick you and won’t appear as beautiful.

But only for a while,

The view will turn your mind.

And after all, if you enjoy,

The fragrances they make for all,

You should accept the little thorns.

I never promised you a rose garden.

Only one true rose.

I really like to visit parks in summer, especially where you can find all kinds of beautiful roses. That is my inspiration for this post (and it is also a weekly photo challenge for Ooh Shiny)! There is a park in Oslo called Vigeland Sculpture Park where you can find beautiful roses. In Lithuania you can find a garden besides Palanga Amber Museum, where I took these photos. Let me know of the beautiful parks full of different roses that I should visit one day! 🙂

Let`s go hiking!

Mountains are very beautiful with views that take your breath away. However, as I am a city girl, I have never been a fan of mountains or hiking. But when you live in Norway, you simply have to try it!

So we hiked for about 3 hours to a mountain called Gaustatoppen (1883 metres), situated near the city called Rjukan in Norway. This mountain is considered as the highest mountain in the area Telemark. The way up was covered in stones as it made the way up quite unstable. We took a family path up, but you can also take more advanced and extreme one, if you are an enthusiast and well experienced in hiking. The views were of course magnificent and many people were hiking in front of us and behind us. There is also a cable car (Gaustabanen) which can take you to the top!

At times it seemed a bit tough on the legs, but other than that it wasn’t that bad. Mostly it was really really cold. Especially on the top. So be sure to bring some warm clothes. It depends on the day of course, but we hiked in July and it was still really cold.

To summarise it all, it was a different, beautiful and fun experience which I will remember for life! Enjoy the photos. 🙂

Flower Bouquet

When you get a beautiful flower bouquet even on vacation. ❤ This is the story about it…

IMG_8429

That day in the beginning of July, we decided to go kart racing in Klaipeda (gokartas.lt). We`ve been planning to do it for a long time. Finally, we arrived at the place and excitement was slowly rising. The woman who worked there told us to wait for the next round. She told us to come in, as I say, their little house, where you suppose to pay, register your name, put your purse into the locker and pick up a helmet. So we sat outside, watching other people riding both fast and slow, listened to the sounds karting cars were making and we were widely smiling while waiting for our turn.

Then suddenly the lady told us to come inside to register our names and pay for the ride. We realised that we didn’t have any more cash, only money on the card. Most places take cards nowadays, but unfortunately that wasn’t that kind of place. She told us that they only take cash. Well, that was a bit disappointing, but luckily a food store with a mini bank was situated close by. So no worries, we went there.

On the way to the minibank, near the store, we saw some elders selling their garden goodies to the people passing by. An old lady looked at us and said that she only got one bouquet left that she wanted to sell that day. She looked at my guy and ask if he wanted to buy those flowers for me. Beautiful wild flowers looked and smelled simply heavenly. He looked at me and smiled, handed the lady a couple of euros that she asked for the flowers and with that simple action made two women really happy that evening! 😀 The old woman immediately started packing and could finally go home. And me, well, I couldn’t stop smiling and took a bunch of photos!

IMG_8424IMG_8431 2IMG_8394IMG_8420

After kart racing we were full of adrenaline and decided to buy a take away pizza. And tell me, what could be better than eating pizza on the beach by a beautiful Baltic Sea. The sea water was quite still which is rare and the sunset we got to see was shiny and beautiful.

Meet&Greet with Baby Tigers in Klaipeda

So where should I start this fun adventure? I never thought I would do this. I didn’t have a single thought about this particular meet in my head. Especially I couldn’t imagine Lithuania as a place where you can greet baby tigers. But as I once wrote a song “Unexpected Things Happen”. Indeed, that is the truth. When you least expect it, then you get it. These things make life exciting!

IMG_8634
Look at those eyes!

The day started with us deciding where we wanted to go. Klaipeda Zoo is 10 kilometres from Klaipeda and that didn’t seem far away or uncomfortable to get to, because we had a car. We didn’t have high expectations for the place. This Zoo was started by one man called Edvardas Legeckas, already in 2001. But only in 2014, the place got the Zoo status and changed its name. However, we were nicely surprised when we entered the Zoo area, since it looked quite big, with lots of people visiting.

The first thing that caught my eyes on the way to the ticket office, was people touching and enjoying the company of small baby tigers, inside a building, with windows all around. It was a unique sight. Then I understood – I wanted to have this experience in my life. We payed 15 euros each, to be able to meet the tigers for 10 minutes and patiently waited for our turn.

When our time came, it was impossible to hide the excitement and happiness. You could instantly notice different personalities and moods of the tigers. There was one white tiger, obviously tired, chilling on the blanket in the corner. Another white tiger seemed to attack my leg, but the lady who took care of them said that he was just being playful and handed me a toy to play with him. So there I was, playing with a tiger for the first time in my life!

IMG_8631IMG_8641

Another thing I wanted to do in those 10 minutes we got there, was to pick one tiger up and hold him in my hands for the picture and simply see how it felt like. To be honest, I tried to pick the tiger up probably around 5 times, if not more. Every time I got scared because they were quite heavy and the second I tried to lift one up, he made a weird noise. I noticed one man lifting tigers up and down with no fear, even though they made the same sounds. After that, I thought that I can do it as well. And voíla, I did it! My facial expression and huge smile says it all. I didn’t know my smile could get this wide before this meet&greet happened! It was totally worth it!
