How is your Friday so far, perhaps going for a date later on? I want to tell you about three things from yesterday that made me very excited!
First of all, miss wonderful SUN finally arrived! I almost forgot how it felt like to wake up to the blue and bright sky. Also fallen golden leaves on the ground look magnificent in the sun light. Therefore, the first thing I did was to find my hidden sunglasses and go for a little walk. On the way, I threw some old clothes into special clothes container, that delivers second hand clothes to the countries in need.
Second great thing was that I got invited for a date! It is so important to still do these little things to each other, even if you live together. So I got dressed up and was all excited. Here is my outfit for a date night on a Thursday. I wore a black dress with black tights, bordeaux boots and coat, while outside I wore blue scarf and black little purse with a chain strap.
And finally the third thing that happened was that I finally got to taste vegan Matcha Latte while on the date. I have been wanting to taste it for a long time. And I have to be honest that I actually expected a different taste. Matcha basically means powered green tea, that contains a lot of caffeine and some health benefits. I guess this is one of the tastes that you have to get use to. I do not want to be quick to judge, therefore I will make an opinion about it after some more cups. On the other hand, my guy really liked it from the first sip. You really cannot argue about taste!
It is hard to believe that one of my wonderful childhood friends is getting married! I am extremely happy for her and want to share with you wedding guest looks of me, my boyfriend and my beautiful friend Indre G. ❤
I haven’t attended many weddings in my life, and those I attended, took place in summer time. Both times I wore yellow dresses and I laughed over it, how it is going to be my tradition. However, I decided to not make it a tradition and wear something different this time.
This wedding takes place in Autumn time and therefore I wanted to wear darker colours. I was thinking about buying a dress, but then I saw this jumpsuit and it immediately caught my eyes. I knew that it will be perfect for me. I really like the shiny material, colour and how it looks on me. The length is also very good, since I don’t have long legs.
I decided to pair this jumpsuit with black high heel sandals, black studded purse with a chain strap from Zara, and gold colour earrings, bracelet and nail polish.
To complete this look, I wore my hair naturally, and Indre Antana did my wonderful makeup with gold colour details. ❤ My guy wore all black and looked handsomely sophisticated. His jacket is not regular, since it is designed as a cardigan, without typical blazer collar. Small details make differences. Exclusive and gorgeous!
My beautiful friend Indre G wore light pink tutu dress and looked like a true princess! Or even better – Marilyn Monroe with that curly hair! Her dress is from ASOS.
If you have asked me half a year ago, what I think about a fabric choker, I would answer you that I don’t quite get this trend. Why would anyone make a hole in a top, instead of leaving it be as a turtleneck? But then I tried one on, and it grew on me. I absolutely fell in love with it and how it looks on me. I really like the fact that it looks different and the part on your neck has a unique accessory look. The scarfs are one of my favourite accessories, that means I am very used of keeping some fabric on my neck. Therefore a choker top fabric gives me that comfy feeling that I like.
How did this choker trend from the 90s became so popular nowadays? For the past year, a lot of trends from the 90s came back, such as overalls, high waisted jeans and jumpers. Trends go around and come around only with new fabrics and details. The choker trend started on the runways in 2016 and then celebrities took it over and this highly influenced people to try it on themselves. This accessory is an easy way to adapt 90s trend to any outfit and that is probably why this trend grew on people so quickly. Nowadays, it is no longer considered as a 90s “cool girl” look. It became a key item and a distinct accessory.
I haven’t tried any choker necklaces just yet, guess I am a bit slow on things. I like to try and “taste” things in my own pace, without rushing or going with the flow. Chokers seem to slowly fade away, since the long necklaces take over their place. However, lately I have been thinking about of getting one shiny choker for summer, to make an outfit more interesting. What do you think about chokers?
