Creating Memories

Hello readers,

I just realised I haven’t posted the video of me and my friend having fun in June, when she was visiting me for a couple of days.

It is so wonderful to have friendships that you know will last. Friendships where you can be completely yourself and simply get yourself loose having fun in your way. This video is about nothing, and at the same time about everything that friendship gives to you. Also we were exploring Oslo while taking breaks on the benches, having ice coffee and doing other things. We were also lucky enough to grab one of those sightseeing trains completely for free. Therefore, sightseeing views are included!

In the video you see famous places in Oslo, such as Ekeberg Park, The Royal Palace, Palace Park, Aker Brygge, City Hall, Panorama view of Oslo and different sculptures and flowers.

We didn’t film that much since it is easy to forget in the process. However, I always try to think how much fun I will have creating, putting together these clips and looking back at them.  Therefore, make yourself memories that will last. Photos, videos, letters, things you will look at and remember that exact moment which will bring out a smile. Choose one of the following or create something else valuable for you and make it a tradition! 🙂

Let`s go hiking!

Mountains are very beautiful with views that take your breath away. However, as I am a city girl, I have never been a fan of mountains or hiking. But when you live in Norway, you simply have to try it!

So we hiked for about 3 hours to a mountain called Gaustatoppen (1883 metres), situated near the city called Rjukan in Norway. This mountain is considered as the highest mountain in the area Telemark. The way up was covered in stones as it made the way up quite unstable. We took a family path up, but you can also take more advanced and extreme one, if you are an enthusiast and well experienced in hiking. The views were of course magnificent and many people were hiking in front of us and behind us. There is also a cable car (Gaustabanen) which can take you to the top!

At times it seemed a bit tough on the legs, but other than that it wasn’t that bad. Mostly it was really really cold. Especially on the top. So be sure to bring some warm clothes. It depends on the day of course, but we hiked in July and it was still really cold.

To summarise it all, it was a different, beautiful and fun experience which I will remember for life! Enjoy the photos. 🙂

My favourite parks in Oslo, Norway

What can be better than finding a beautiful park in the middle of the city? Here, I will share my personal favourite parks in Oslo, Norway.

The first is definitely Royal Palace Park, which is probably the most central park in Oslo. It is not that big, but such a peaceful and green park! The main street is just down the hill, which makes it a great location for some relaxation! There are many beautiful plants, fountains and ducks swimming in the pond. You can imagine yourself as a royal while walking around, if you have a bright imagination. This park is especially beautiful in the evening, as the sun is slowly settling down between the trees. It is such a magnificent sight!

Number second would be Frogner park with Vigeland Sculpture Park inside of it, which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Oslo. It is situated in the area called Majorstuen. There are plenty of tourists in Vigeland Sculpture Park on summertime, to see all wonderful naked sculptures and roses blooming in all shapes and colours. While Frogner Park is a popular place among the locals, where people like to walk their dogs, go for a run or just enjoy their time – sunbathing, grilling, being with their friends or family. It is very nice to walk around the park and discover simple hidden nature beauties. I love waterfalls, small or big, it doesn’t matter. This park has it, and I am so glad for it! It is actually the largest park in the central parts of Oslo.

There are no roses in the park yet, but I will definitely take some photos once the roses will start blooming in all kinds of beautiful colours. 🙂

Last but not least, there is a place called Sognsvann. I am not sure if it is considered as a park, but I look at it as one. There is a lake with a walking/running path that goes around the whole lake, which is around 3 kilometres long. Also there is an area which is great for sunbathing, fishing, grilling and picnics. You can also go for a swim or work out on the grass. People really love this place for work outs and runs. However, at warm days the place is packed with people sunbathing and grilling. If you don’t like to be in the mass, you can walk a bit by the lake and find a small, private space besides the water. Enjoy nature in your own way. This lake is not situated in the city centre, so you have either to take the metro or drive the car. There are plenty of parking spots, completely for free! Doesn’t this sound amazing?

If you are really into different plants and trees, then you should also visit Botanical Garden in the area called Tøyen. I used to work in this place and I can definitely say that it is a beautiful park worth a visit. Also a popular place for wedding photoshoots. Would you like to take a picture by the palm tree while in Oslo? Then this is the place you want to visit!

Take a walk in the park and smell the fresh air. Because sometimes that is all You need!♡

Spontaneous Evening by the Sea + OOTD`s

IMG_8158
When it comes to hair, don’t be afraid of the wind. It creates a messy and romantic hairstyle!:)

We are getting closer and closer to the summer time, it is only 6 days left! How time is flying so fast, you blink and – here we are! Many of us wait for the summer with excitement – vacation, travel, sunshine, ice cream, nature, smiles and joy. But while everyone is still in town, and weather is blinking at you with a smile, use this time to sponteneously spend some evenings outside!

Spontaneous meets are so exciting. When you simply grab some coffee and walk slowly, while enjoying the weather and being among the people mass. That is exactly what we did yesterday! So enjoy it simply and casually!

When it comes to clothes, spring is quite unpredictable. Especially in a city which is situated by the sea. It can be windy and cloudy in the morning, so hot in the daytime, and much colder in the evening. Therefore, a jacket is actually a must. Then you feel secure at any time that you will not get cold. There are so many beautiful jackets out there for you to choose, so it should not be a problem. Remember to grab a jacket before you go out, and you will be ready for a spontaneous evening by the sea!
